AVMAC can assist any organization in identifying hazards or negative trends within the workplace by applying a concept developed by the Navy’s Safety Center Culture Workshop program. Having facilitated workshops in both Navy and Marine Corps aviation units world wide, as well as NASA, this process can help leadership assess risks found within their organization that are engrained within its culture. Conducting non-attributable interviews and workshops, which ascend the leadership continuum, can uncover underlying issues that erode an organization and make them less effective. AVMAC uses an overarching and central theme “Operational excellence exists on a foundation of trust, integrity and leadership, created and sustained through effective communication” to open dialog and as a base of our workshops.
AVMAC, in employing the methods listed below, will identify undesirable behaviors/issues in any organization and presents mitigation recommendations for any risks with barriers and degraders reviewed and discussed in easily understood formats.
- Personnel interviews
- Trust exercises
- Workshop facilitation
- Thorough after-action reports
