Donald “Don” Buzard
Chief Operating Officer
Don Buzard is also a founder and co-owner of AVMAC LLC and serves as Chief Operating Officer. Don is a 30 year Navy veteran and former aircraft maintenance officer with extensive experience in fixed and rotary winged aircraft squadrons, organizational and intermediate maintenance activities, and positions on major operational staffs. Don served as both the Naval Surface Force and Second Fleet staffs advising Navy and Marine Corps leadership on integration and support issues, providing key and sustainable recommendations on aircraft fielding and logistics. He served on multiple acquisition program initiatives including the Basing and Ships Suitability team supporting integration of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, fleet representative integrating the MV-22 Osprey on existing Amphibious Assault class ships, and coordinating aviation maintenance space layout design on the new LHA 6 class ship. Together with his business partner and long-time friend, Bert Ortiz, they continue developing AVMAC LLC into a leading aviation management/consulting business focused on supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and corporate America.
